I recently repainted my kitchen, which is where my desk area is located. It has the most wonderful window view in the house. So here I sit, looking out on the Amtrak bridge that crosses the Susquehanna River, exactly where it flows into the Upper Chesapeake Bay. Herons, geese, gulls, coots, ducks, osprey, hawks, eagles and more are a regular daily treat. As well as watching sunrise and sunset reflections and storms coming and going.

But more to the point, I discovered two delightful products that have made this space even more pleasant. The speakers on my Lenova ThinkPad just don’t quite have the quality I’d like. So if I’m not using headphones, I use these dynamite little speakers from iHome. Check these out.

They come in a variety of colors and are awesome little guys. At one point, I had to turn them off while watching a movie because I thought I ‘heard something’…. hahah… yep – the MOVIE!!!

The other nifty little product are Magic Sliders from Home Depot. These little guys are now on my file cabinets (which are holding my desktop), on my cpu, and on a bookshelf. Now I can slide the works away from the wall and keep the dust bunnies under control.
